On Q Promotions would like to announce the launch of the World Professional 8 Ball Pool Festival – 23^rd – 28^th October 2012 which will be staged at the South West Snooker Academy – Gloucester

The main event will be the World Professional 8 Ball Pool World Championship with a guaranteed prize fund of £24,000 including a first prize of £10,000.  The later stages of the Championship will be recorded for televised release. 

Additionally a second global championship will run alongside the main event. The World 8 Ball Pool Open will carry a further £12,000 prize fund, with a first prize of £4,000.

The recognised Professional Players Association (IPA) will be invited to send players both from their Professional members register, and their semi professional players. These players will receive immediate entry to the seeded stages of the World Championship.

Both these events will be open to all cue sport players. Professional status will be deemed either by recognition from a domestic or international association or by official qualification heats leading up to the Festival.

This festival is a totally independently staged event and has no official relationship or agreement with any domestic or international 8 Ball Pool association.
