OB Cues Ladies Tour Stop #2 was held at Jamaica Joe’s, Midwest City, OK, March 9^th/10^th weekend.  Jamaica Joe’s, a regular host site for the OB Cues Ladies Tour hosted 29 ladies who ventured from Texas (Houston, DFW, Austin, and Sherman) and the local Oklahoma vicinity.  Jess Massey and her crew were fabulous as always and we do have to say that the renovations are truly magnificent and top notch.  We are so excited about always being at Jamaica Joe’s that we will return for another tour stop visit the weekend of September 21^st/22^nd, 2013 and hope to see more lady Oklahoma players step up to the challenge of taking on the Texas ladies. J

There was some tough action all weekend long and many closely contested matches.  With the tournament being a 2-day event, the top 8 returned for battle on Sunday to see who would grab the $550 1^st place prize money.  In the winners bracket was local Oklahoma player, Sherri Foley vs. Orietta Strickland and teammates Tracie Voelkering vs. Melinda Bailey.  On the one-loss side it was 2012 OBCLT Champion Kim Pierce vs. Amanda Lampert and Liz Mitchel vs. Angie Payne.  The hot seat match was played by Sherri and Melinda with Melinda securing her spot in the finals.    Finishing 7^th/8^th was Kim Pierce and Liz Mitchel; 5^th/6^th Tracie Voelkering and Orietta Strickland and 4^th place was Angie Payne, which is Angie’s highest finish ever since playing on the tour.  Congratulations to all the ladies for some awesome shooting.

Amanda, a true champion both on and off the pool table, brings excitement with her game wherever she goes.  With her seemingly flawless pool shooting playing skills and a heart of gold to match, you can never count her out.   She lost her 2^nd match of the tournament to Sherri Foley, but was able to get her redemption by defeating Sherri 7-2.   Sherri finished in 3rd place for a great event.   Good job Sherri!

Amanda had won 5 previous matches to get to the finals and she would need to win the next two to get her 2^nd back to back tour win.  The matchup was a repeat of what happened at OB Cues Ladies Tour Stop #1 wherein Amanda and Melinda were in the finals and Amanda double-dipped Melinda for tour stop #1 win.  This time Amanda, once again double-dipped Melinda 7-1, 7-5 for her second and back-to-back tour stop win.   Both ladies played superb.  Congratulations for a fantastic finish.
