Orcollo Snares Bigfoot Challenge at Derby City Classic

The eight day of the 15th Derby City classic would see the completion of the “Big Foot” 10 Ball Challenge. The two remaining events to finish on Saturday are the main event 9 Ball and the side event Straight Pool.

The 10 ball had two semi-final matches and the final. Eliminated in the semi-final round were Ronnie Alcano and Johnny Archer both going home with $5,000. In a great battle on the 10 foot Diamond table Dennis Orcollo would be crowned Champion of the first “Big Foot” 10 Ball Challenge and the $20,000 first place money. Niels Feijen would take second and the $10,000 second place money.

One of the two semi-final rounds of the Straight Pool was completed with Dennis Orcollo eliminating Stuart Pettman. Dennis is awaiting the winner of the other semi-final between Max Eberle and Niels Feijen.

The remaining two matches will be streamed FREE and LIVE on Inside Pool TV.

The main event 9 ball has twelve players remaining going into the final day, Saturday. The strong final field has John Brumback, Francisco Bustamante and Shawn Putnam with no losses and still holding a re-buy. The other nine players with one loss are Bader AlAwadhi, Ronato Alcano, Mike Dechaine, Ralph Eckert, Justin Hall, Alex Pagulayan, Santo Sambajon and Shane Van Boening. The ninth round of the 9 Ball will start at 9 AM on Saturday.
