At its recent Annual General Meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada, the American CueSports Alliance (ACS) elected a new director to the ACS board. Mark Finkelstein [NY] (ACS Certified Instructor -- Level 4) was elected to a two-year term representing ACS Instructors, while the balance of incumbents retained their seats.
The new board of directors subsequently re-elected incumbent officers: Mike Wilson (VA) -- President, Sandra Chamberlain (OK) -- Vice President, Julie Ann Mitchell (IN) -- Secretary and Tom Fankhauser (IL) -- Treasurer.

The ACS sanctions leagues in 38 states, works with the CCS in Canada, produces the 2013 ACS National Championships (May 11-17) at the new Tropicana Las Vegas, the 2013 Midwest 8-Ball Championships at the Riverside Casino in Iowa, the national Lucasi Hybrid All American Tour, supports twelve (12) state and regional championships, certifies instructors and referees, and is a non-profit, national organization dedicated to heightening the interest and awareness of cue sports through the support and sanctioning of organized competition throughout the United States.
